Study Tours

In keeping with the way the Presidential Scholars Program demonstrates there is talent in every region of the United States, the Academy will offer study tours to showcase the learning resources available across the country. The Academy may partner with similar scholarly groups from the US and abroad to ensure study tours of broad appeal and unique value.
If you have ideas for and want to be involved in creating study tours, please let us know via the contact form on the home page.

CONFERENCE CANCELED

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our August 2020 conference in Cambridge, MA, with Scholars from China, on the role of art and humanities in informing the creation of technologies that are beneficial to our society has been canceled. We regret the necessity and wish to thank the graduate students and Academy members who volunteered to help organize the event.

PRIOR:

August 2019 and September 2019: Presidential Scholars and their guests spent a day with a Scholar group from China in Boston and Newton, Massachusetts. We toured the Museum of Fine Arts and enjoyed fresh local food at Farmstand Table for dinner. The Scholars from China then invited Presidential Scholars to their Mid-Autumn Festival in the Bay Area, California.

June 2019: A “mini” study tour of the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC was held on Sunday afternoon, June 23. Participants agreed that this was well worth the time, and that two and a half hours wasn’t long enough.
