If you were selected as a United States Presidential Scholar or named a Distinguished Teacher by a Presidential Scholar, you are automatically eligible to subscribe for membership to the Academy of Presidential Scholars.
During this time of COVID-19 and social distancing we would like to offer you an email address @uspresidentialscholars.org regardless of whether you can donate or not. Such an address will enable you to use the Academy of Presidential Scholars apps to collaborate with fellow members of the Academy. For example, among the twenty apps is Classroom, which could be helpful for mentoring as well as for offering to share your own expertise, or for offering to tutor.

Benefits of subscribing to a membership in the Academy of Presidential Scholars will include:
Ability to propose and participate in Shared Interest Groups for mutual benefit and learning.
The right to display “Member, Academy of Presidential Scholars” on all your electronic communications (emails, website, blog, social media accounts) for the duration of your subscription.
Discounts on JSTOR for independent researchers.
Soon: eligibility to nominate Invited Members to the Academy of Presidential Scholars. The Academy recognizes that Presidential Scholars and Distinguished Teachers are worthy of this national honor. If they support the Academy’s mission, they are automatically eligible for membership. And they may know others, who are similarly worthy of honor, support the Academy’s mission, and would be terrific members if invited. Nominees will be vetted through an approval process, which is yet to be designed. We Let us know if you want to help design the nomination process.
We are working to develop further membership benefits such as:
Ability to participate in the Academy of Presidential Scholars Commons, a wiki-type page where you can, within acceptable use parameters, share your work for all to benefit.

To subscribe, we request a donation to help defray the cost of providing the apps. If you can make a stretch gift, it would help us to fund service projects, public interest research, campaign/election trainings, and in other ways Academy members wish to serve our communities, our country, and humanity.
